Rewind the Tape. Then Let the Storm Clear.

Oct 19th - 25th Astrology Forecast

This week starts with a question about power and ends with a storm that clears the air.

We open under a cool, clear-headed Aquarius Moon, but beneath it, retrograde Venus squares Pluto, and old feelings about love, money, and control still have a lot to say. By the end of the week, the Sun slips into Scorpio, Mercury stations retrograde, Venus backs up into Libra, and a Full Moon in Taurus lights up Sunday night. That's a lot of movement for one week... and most of it is asking us to slow down. 🙈

The good news? Slowing down isn't the same as standing still. This week is for revisiting, rethinking, and getting honest about what you want to keep.

Let's get into it.

The week begins with the Moon in Aquarius, which likes a little distance. That can be helpful. Early Monday, the Moon meets Pluto and squares Venus, so you may wake up already turning over something about a relationship or what you're worth in it. Aquarius lets you step back instead of staying inside the feeling. By Monday night, the Moon opposes Mars in Leo, and pride gets touchy. If someone pushes your buttons, notice it, then decide whether it's worth a response.

That matters because, in the early hours of Tuesday, retrograde Venus in Scorpio squares Pluto in Aquarius. A square is a tense angle between two planets, the kind that creates friction until something shifts.

Venus rules love, money, and what we value. Pluto rules power, control, and what's buried. Together, they can make you feel jealous, possessive, or stuck in a power struggle you didn't sign up for. Since Venus is retrograde, this probably isn't new. An old pattern is showing you its face again. Ask yourself where you've given too much to keep the peace, and where you've held on too tight because letting go feels like losing.

Tuesday also brings a short burst of pressure as the Moon squares Mercury and opposes Jupiter, briefly forming a T-square between the three. Jupiter makes everything bigger, so a small comment can feel like a big deal by Tuesday evening. Say what you mean, but keep it short.

And this is also the stretch when a rare shape is active in the sky. Uranus in Gemini and Neptune in Aries are in a long, slow sextile to each other, and both form a quincunx to Venus, creating a yod (we've been building toward this for days).

As I mentioned last week...Astrologers call a yod the "finger of fate." A quincunx is an awkward angle between signs that don't speak the same language, and a yod points to something that needs an adjustment, not a dramatic overhaul. With Venus at the tip, that adjustment likely involves a relationship, your spending, or your self-worth. Small changes count here.

By Wednesday morning, the Moon slips into Pisces, and the mood softens. A trine to Venus (a trine is an easier, flowing connection) makes it a sweet day for kindness, creativity, or simply letting someone off the hook. Then the Moon squares Uranus in the afternoon, so plans may change at the last minute. Go with it if you can.

Thursday stays dreamy, and that's when the week starts asking for patience. Late Thursday night, the Moon trines Mercury and then goes Void from 10:31 PM Thursday until 2:53 PM Friday Central, a long 16 hours and 22 minutes.

A Void Moon is the stretch after the Moon makes its last major aspect in one sign and before it enters the next. It's a good time to finish, rest, organize, and reflect. It's not the best time to launch, sign, buy, or start something important, because things started now tend to drift or not go as planned. This falls right before Mercury stations retrograde, making it doubly smart to slow down.

While the Moon is void, the Sun enters Scorpio on Friday morning. Scorpio season asks us to go deeper: into what we feel, what we want, what we're afraid to lose, and what we're finally ready to release. Friday afternoon, the Moon enters Aries and meets Neptune, giving you a burst of energy that may still feel a little hazy around the edges. Then late Friday night, the Sun meets retrograde Venus in early Scorpio.

This is the midpoint of Venus retrograde, when Venus passes between Earth and the Sun and starts a brand-new cycle. Think of it as a reset button for love and money. Something you've been reviewing since early October comes into clearer focus. You may realize what you value has changed, or what you've been settling for has run its course. You don't have to act on it right away. Just let yourself see it.

For a short window around Friday and Saturday, the Sun, Mercury, and Venus all gather in Scorpio, forming a stellium, a cluster of three or more planets in one sign. Scorpio energy is intense, private, and wants the real story. Surface-level answers won't satisfy you right now, and that's okay.

Then, early Saturday, at 2:12 AM Central, Mercury stations retrograde at 20°58' Scorpio.

Mercury has been in its retrograde shadow since October 4th, moving over the degrees it's about to retrace. That means the conversations, messages, and decisions of the past few weeks are about to come back around. Now Mercury turns around and walks backward until November 13th, when it stations direct at 5° Scorpio, and it won't leave its shadow until November 30th.

People blame Mercury retrograde for a lot, but it isn't a curse. It's a review period. In Scorpio, it's especially good for digging into what's beneath the surface: rereading the contract, revisiting the conversation, looking again at the money, the secret, or the thing you've been avoiding. Back up your files. Double-check your plans. Expect old people and old topics to resurface. And if you can, give yourself more time than you think you'll need.

Saturday's Moon in Aries meets Saturn, joining Saturn and Neptune to form a small Aries stellium. You may feel the pressure of responsibilities first thing in the morning. By Saturday afternoon, a Moon–Mars trine gives you the energy to tackle your list, as long as you keep it doable.

Sunday starts early. Before dawn, Venus retrogrades back into Libra, where it'll spend the rest of its retrograde. After weeks of intensity in Scorpio, Venus returns to the sign of balance, fairness, and partnership. Relationships and agreements return to review, especially where the give-and-take has been uneven. The Moon trines Jupiter Sunday morning, which brings a generous, hopeful mood. Use it.

By Sunday evening, the Moon opposes Venus, goes briefly void, and slips into Taurus. And then, at 11:11 PM Central, we reach the Full Moon in Taurus at 2°45'.

This Full Moon moves us from the Sabian symbol at 2° Taurus, "An Electrical Storm Illuminates the Heavens and the Forests," toward 3° Taurus, "Natural Steps Up to a Lawn Blooming with Clover." This story is about what happens after the storm. The lightning shows you the whole landscape at once, everything you couldn't see in the dark. Then the weather passes, and what's left is something simple, steady, and growing. Taurus doesn't need the drama to last. It needs something real to build on once the sky clears.

Full Moons bring things to a peak, and this one sits across the Taurus–Scorpio axis: what's mine versus what's ours, comfort versus transformation, holding on versus letting go. It also squares Pluto in Aquarius, so the old power question from Tuesday comes back around for its final word. And as the week closes, Uranus and Neptune form that same yod again, this time pointing to the Sun. The adjustment that started in your heart now asks for your attention. What you need to feel secure is ready to change. Not all at once. One natural step at a time.

This week, rewind the tape and watch it again with fresh eyes. You may find that the story you've been telling yourself doesn't quite match what happened, and that's useful information.

Let the storm do its job. Then take the next steady step toward the life that feels like yours.

Friday, the Sun enters your 6th and meets Venus there, a fresh start for a routine that supports you rather than drains you. Early Saturday, Mercury stations retrograde in that same house. Work tasks, appointments, and messages may need a second look, so build in buffer time. Repairs, backups, and follow-ups count as progress now.

Sunday, Venus retrogrades into your 5th house, and an old flame or abandoned creative project might come knocking. Look before you leap back in. That night, the Full Moon lands in your 12th, the most private corner of your chart, and squares Pluto in your 9th. Something you've been carrying quietly is ready to be released.
