Planetary Hours: How to Pick the Right Hour for What Matters
Updated: Oct 9
Have you ever stared at an email and thought, Do I send this now, or give it an hour?
Maybe you have tried to have a simple conversation, and somehow it turned into a whole thing.
Or you sat down ready to work, only to find that your brain had apparently clocked out without telling you. Then an hour later, the words came, the answer was obvious, or what felt hard suddenly wasn't.
We notice these shifts all the time.
What we don't always realize is that astrology has a timing technique built around them called planetary hours.
Not the flashiest name, I know, but it gets the point across.

Every hour has a planet in charge, and that planet brings its own nature to the hour. But there is another layer. How well that planet is doing in the sky matters too. Is it comfortable in the sign it is moving through? Is it retrograde or changing direction? Is it getting support, or is there a little friction in the mix?
That can make an hour stronger, easier to work with, or one you might want to approach a little differently.
It sounds like a lot to figure out.
Thankfully, you don't have to.
We'll get into the juicy details in a minute, but here is the basic idea: a Sun hour can be wonderful when you need confidence, visibility, or the nerve to put yourself out there. It may not be the hour you choose when you are trying to stay under the radar. Mars can help you move, act, compete, or finally tackle something you have been avoiding, but if you are already mad? Maybe don't use that extra fire to send the text.
See where we're going with this?
Planetary hours help you understand what kind of energy is available right now and how you might actually use it.
